Project Summary:
• The project consists of a 70-story residential development situated on a 2+ acre lot adjacent to the Manhattan Bridge
• CCJV’s scope consisted of excavation, foundation concrete, caissons, piles, sheet pile SOE, wellpoint and deep well dewatering systems, waterproofing
• Excavated approximately 70,000 cy of material. Installed 3,100 tons of rebar and 20,000 cy of concrete
• Excavated and dewatered entire site with a 100’ x 100’ core mat which was 30’ below natural ground water level
• Drove approximately 1,300 ea 14” diameter pipe piles 200T capacity to rock at a depth of 105’
• Drilled approximately 120 ea 24” diameter rock socketed caissons 1500T to depths of 120’
• Used a combination of wellpoint dewatering system and deep wells
• Managed multiple subcontractors to efficiently and safely complete the project ahead of schedule
