Project Summary:
- The project consists of a 19-story, 1.3 million sf commercial development situated on an 86,000 sf lot in Manhattan’s Hudson Square neighborhood.
- CCJV’s scope consisted of support of excavation, earth and rock excavation, foundation concrete, and permanent rock anchors
- CCJV’s subcontractor, Keller North America, drilled and installed an 1180mm diameter, secant wall socketed 5’ into rock around the 1,300 linear foot site perimeter
- CCJV’s subcontractor, Keller North America, drilled and installed approximately 315ea tiebacks for support of excavation and 60ea permanent tie down anchors.
- Excavated approximately 150,000 cy of soil and 5,000 cy of rock. Installed approximately 4,400 tons of rebar, 28,000 cy of foundation concrete and 18,000 cy of secant pile concrete.
- Poured 4,305 cy in a single 11 hour pour. One of NYC’s largest concrete pours in history.
- Dewatered the entire 2-acre site to 35 ft below natural ground water table
- Furnished and installed 135,000 sf of GERB’s polyurethane structural vibration isolation system
- Managed multiple subcontractors to efficiently and safely complete the project (on time or ahead of schedule)
